Final grade calculator (what do I need?): what it is for
The calculator finds the score you need on the tests that haven't happened yet to finish with your school's or college's passing average. It works with different weights and any maximum score.
If all grades are in, it shows the final average and whether you passed.
How to use
- Enter the average you need to pass.
- Type the grades you have and leave blank the ones still to come.
- See how much you need.
When to use it
- School and college.
- Plan your studying for the term.
- Know if you can still pass.
Frequently asked questions
How does a weighted average work?
Each grade is multiplied by its weight, the results are added up and divided by the sum of the weights. If every test has the same weight, leave all the weights at 1.
What if the grade I need is above the maximum?
It means you can't reach the average with that test alone anymore. Check whether your school offers a makeup or extra credit.
