Compare two JSON documents
Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded to the internet.
Compare JSON (diff): what it is for
Paste the original and the new JSON to see each difference with the exact field path, such as address.zip or tags[1]. The comparison ignores the key order of objects and points out syntax errors if either JSON is invalid.
Everything is processed in your browser, without sending the data to any server.
How to use
- Paste the original JSON on the left.
- Paste the new JSON on the right.
- Read the list of differences.
When to use it
- Comparing API responses between versions.
- Reviewing changes in config files.
- Debugging tests that fail on one field.
Frequently asked questions
Does key order matter?
No. Two objects with the same keys and values are equal even in a different order. In lists (arrays), though, position counts, and each item is compared by index.
How do I read the result?
Each difference shows the field path, such as user.addresses[0].zip. Green is what exists only in the second JSON, red only in the first, and yellow is a changed value.
Is it really free?
Yes, 100% free. No sign-up, no subscription and no usage limits. All Tools123 tools are free and run right in your browser.
