Frequently asked questions
How do I convert degrees to radians?
Multiply by π and divide by 180. So 90° = π/2 ≈ 1.5708 rad and 180° = π rad.
What is DMS?
It is the degrees, minutes and seconds notation, used in surveying, navigation and coordinates. One degree has 60 minutes and one minute has 60 seconds: 12.5° = 12° 30′ 0″.
What is a gradian?
A unit in which a full turn has 400 gradians, used in some surveying instruments. 90° = 100 gradians.
