Frequently asked questions
Why does my 1 TB drive show up as 931 GB?
Manufacturers use the decimal standard (1 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes), and Windows shows it in binary (1 GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes). It is the same space, counted in different ways.
What is the difference between MB and Mb?
MB (megabyte) measures file size. Mb (megabit) measures internet speed. 1 byte = 8 bits, so a 100 Mb/s connection downloads about 12.5 MB per second.
