Coming soon and maintenance page generator: what it is for
Create the page people see while your new site isn't ready yet or while it's under maintenance. Choose the type, title, message, colors and the WhatsApp, Instagram and email buttons; if you want, add a countdown to the launch date. The file comes out as a single lightweight HTML with no dependencies.
Each type is set up the way Google recommends. The coming soon page can be indexed and responds normally. The maintenance page includes noindex and comes with Apache and Nginx snippets that respond with a 503 status and a Retry-After header, so search engines come back later without removing your site from results. robots.txt keeps responding normally, because a 503 on it makes Google stop crawling the site.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between coming soon and maintenance?
Coming soon is for a site that doesn't exist yet: the page can be indexed by Google and respond normally with a 200 status. Maintenance is for an existing site that's down for a short time: the server should respond with a 503 status and a Retry-After header, so Google comes back later without dropping your pages from the index.
How do I make the server respond with 503?
The tool shows ready-made snippets for Apache (.htaccess) and Nginx. On static hosts that don't let you change the status code, use the page for just a few hours; the noindex tag in the maintenance file keeps it from being indexed in place of your site.
How long can I keep the site in maintenance?
503 is for short outages, from hours up to a day or two. If the site will be down longer, use a normal coming soon page with a 200 status, so Google doesn't start removing your site from results.
