FAQ generator for websites (accordion + schema): what it is for

A frequently asked questions section answers doubts before customers have to ask and also helps search engines understand the page.

The generator builds the accordion with the native details and summary elements, which open and close without JavaScript and work with keyboards and screen readers, styled as cards or lines, with the option of keeping one answer open at a time. It also includes FAQPage JSON-LD, with the text escaped. Since 2023 Google shows the expanded FAQ result only for government and health sites, but the markup is still valid.

How to use

  1. Write the questions and answers.
  2. Choose the style, color and options.
  3. Copy the code and paste it into the page.

When to use it

  • Product or service page.
  • Local business website.
  • Help or questions page.

Frequently asked questions

Why use details and summary?

They are native HTML elements: they open and close without JavaScript, work with keyboards and screen readers, and the answer text stays in the page code, visible to search engines.

Does Google still show FAQs in results?

Since 2023 the expanded FAQ result only appears for well-known government and health sites. For other sites, FAQPage JSON-LD is still valid and helps search engines and AI assistants understand the content, but it does not guarantee the rich result.

Can I keep only one answer open at a time?

Yes. Tick the one open at a time option: the code uses the name attribute on details, which makes the browser close the others on its own (recent Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox).

Is it really free?

Yes, 100% free. No sign-up, no subscription and no usage limits. All Tools123 tools are free and run right in your browser.
