Frequently asked questions
Is the token sent to a server?
No. Decoding happens in your browser, so the token never leaves your computer.
Does the tool verify the signature?
No. It only reads the content (which is just Base64URL). Verifying the signature requires the secret key or the public key of whoever issued the token.
Is it really free?
Yes, 100% free. No sign-up, no subscription and no usage limits. All Tools123 tools are free and run right in your browser.
