How is the maze generated?
With the depth-first search algorithm with backtracking: it starts from a cell, carves a path to an unvisited neighbor and backs up when it hits a dead end. The result is a perfect maze, with exactly one path between the entrance and the exit.
How do I choose the difficulty?
The more cells, the harder. 8 × 8 mazes are good for young kids, 15 × 15 to 20 × 20 for older kids, and above 30 × 30 they challenge even adults.
Can I solve it on screen?
Yes. Use the arrow keys or swipe over the maze to move the dot from the entrance to the exit. The solution button shows the correct path.
