Contact form for websites (no server): what it is for

A static website, hosted on a bucket, GitHub Pages or a simple builder, has no server to send email. Services such as FormSubmit, Formspree and Netlify Forms solve this: the form sends to them, and they forward the message to your email.

Choose the service, tick the fields (name, email, WhatsApp, subject, city and message) and copy the ready HTML, with each service's hidden fields for subject and thank-you page (_subject and _next on FormSubmit), a honeypot field against bots, autocomplete, native validation and accessible styling.

How to use

  1. Choose the service and enter the email or form address.
  2. Tick the fields and write the subject and button.
  3. Copy the code and paste it into your contact page.

When to use it

  • Static site contact page.
  • Quote requests.
  • Landing page form.

Frequently asked questions

Which service should I choose?

FormSubmit is the simplest: you just put your email in the form address, and on the first message it asks you to confirm your email. Formspree requires an account and gives each form its own address, with a dashboard for messages. Netlify Forms only works on sites hosted on Netlify. All three have a free plan with a monthly submission limit; check the current terms on each site.

How does the form prevent spam?

It has a hidden field (honeypot) that people do not see and bots tend to fill in: messages with it filled in are discarded. FormSubmit also shows a captcha by default, and Formspree and Netlify have their own spam filters.

What changes in the privacy policy?

Form data goes through the chosen service before reaching your email. Mention the service in the data sharing section of your privacy policy and ask only for the data you need.

Is it really free?

Yes, 100% free. No sign-up, no subscription and no usage limits. All Tools123 tools are free and run right in your browser.
