Frequently asked questions
What's the right og:image size?
1200×630 pixels (about a 1.91:1 ratio) is the size Facebook recommends and it works on WhatsApp, LinkedIn and X. Keep important text away from the edges, because some apps crop the image to a square.
Why doesn't the link preview show the image?
Check that og:image uses the full address (with https://), that the file is public and not too heavy (ideally under 300 KB) and that the page doesn't block bots. Apps cache the preview; to test again, change the address, for example by adding ?v=2.
JPG or PNG?
JPG is usually much lighter with background photos; PNG is better when the image has only flat colors and text.
Is the image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is built in your browser and downloaded straight to your device.
Is it really free?
Yes, 100% free. No sign-up, no subscription and no usage limits. All Tools123 tools are free and run right in your browser.
