Online mind map maker: what it is for
Type the topic on the first line and the ideas below it, one per line, with spaces at the start for each level. The mind map draws with the topic in the center and colored branches around it, as many levels deep as you like.
It is faster than dragging boxes: you type in the order you think and the drawing arranges itself. The text is saved in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set up the levels?
The first line is the central topic. Each idea goes on its own line, and the spaces (or Tab) at the start set the level: a line with more indentation hangs from the line above with less indentation. Always use the same number of spaces per level.
What is a mind map for?
For organizing ideas around a topic: summarizing a subject for a test, planning a project, an essay or a presentation, or brainstorming. Seeing everything connected helps you remember and find what is missing.
Is the map saved?

Is it really free?
Yes, 100% free. No sign-up, no subscription and no usage limits. All Tools123 tools are free and run right in your browser.
