Website pricing calculator (for freelancers): what it is for

Find the price of a website project without guessing: choose the type (landing page, business site, site with a blog or online store) and adjust the hours for each stage, from the briefing meeting to launch. Enter your hourly rate, the costs you pass on, such as domain, theme and plugins, the buffer for surprises and the tax on the invoice.

The calculator shows the total price, a 50% deposit, the installment amount, how much goes to tax and a monthly maintenance fee with hours per month and hosting. The tax is calculated on the gross amount, so what you keep covers your work.

How to use

  1. Choose the type of site and adjust the hours.
  2. Enter your hourly rate, costs, margin and tax.
  3. See the price, the installments and the maintenance.

When to use it

  • Freelancer quotes.
  • Small agencies.
  • Website proposals for clients.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate the price of a website?

Add up the hours for each stage (meeting, layout, development, content, testing and launch), multiply by your hourly rate, add the costs you pay on the client's behalf and a buffer for surprises, and finally include the tax on the invoice. That way the price really covers your time.

How do I know my hourly rate?

Divide how much you want to earn per month, plus your fixed costs (computer, internet, software, accountant), by the hours you can actually bill per month, which are usually far fewer than the hours you work. The hourly rate calculator does this math.

Should I charge monthly maintenance?

It is worth offering: updates, backups, small text and photo changes and support. Define how many hours per month are included and what is not, so the monthly fee does not turn into endless work.
